Join us at Auchengillan for an Explorer Challenge Weekend to celebrate 100 years of adventure. Lunch on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday are included for all participants, along with a programme of adventurous activities at the centre.

The weekend centres around a challenge hike on the Saturday. Teams of 4–6 Explorers will start off-site in the morning and navigate their way into Auchengillan via a series of staffed challenge bases. Along the route, teams will tackle navigation tasks, problem-solving challenges and practical Scouting skills before arriving back on site to continue the programme and celebrate Auchengillan’s centenary.

On Sunday, Explorers will take part in Auchengillan’s adventurous activities to round off the weekend.

Explorer units can attend using Passports, or leaders can camp on site and attend under their usual Nights Away Permit. Leaders who sign up will be asked to support some of the challenge bases during the weekend.

What the event fee includes:

• Lunch on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday for all Explorers and leaders
• Challenge hike route planning and staffed challenge bases
• Adventurous activity sessions at Auchengillan
• Tea, coffee and diluting juice available for leaders throughout the weekend

Groups must follow The Scouts Policy, Organisation and Rules (POR) at all times.
