Cub Adventure Day 2025
Cub Adventure Day gives Cubs the chance to spend a full day at Auchengillan, taking part in a variety of outdoor activities, skills bases, and badge sessions. The day is designed to support progress towards the Adventure Challenge Award as well as a number of Activity Badges.
Activities will include a mix of adventurous, creative, and skills-based sessions such as:
- Archery, canoeing, climbing, mountain biking, and high ropes
- Crate stacking, orienteering, and nightline
- Grass sledges, pedal karts, sumo suits, laser tag, and adventure trail
- Obstacle course and inflatables
- Campcraft skills including tents, knots, fires, and Kelly kettles
- Specialist badge bases such as Air Activities, First Aid, DIY, Digital Maker, Musician, Science, Equestrian, and Space
- Fun extras including the mini zoo, safety demonstrations, and a closing campfire
Instruction and equipment will be provided across all bases, delivered by a mix of volunteers and activity partners.
Groups must follow The Scouts Policy, Organisation & Rules (POR). In line with POR Rule 4.3.10.8b, a minimum ratio of one adult helper per eight Cubs, plus the Leader in Charge, is required.
